Divenire Bolognina
Bolognina is an historically proletarian district of Bologna, Italy, traditionally of social-communist tendencies. Always being inclusive, it went through many changes during the last 70 years both in urbanistic and social aspects
The common thread of these changes has always been the reception of emigrants: first from the nearby provinces, then from southern Italy and more recently from all over the world.
Today Bolognina is facing a new challange between anticonformism and gentrification.
“Change is not painless. It never happens suddenly. Means contrast, fear, clash. It creates new awareness, it can bring forward or rewind back.”
